A beautiful house in a lovely location and,
to top things off, a very warm welcome.
Thank you - we had a wonderful stay.
I had booked this for a hen party, there was
a mixture of older and younger guests. The
house was amazing and everyone was in awe.
There were decorations up for the bride, a
personalised card and goodies. The house was
so well decorated and lots of little touches
which made the stay all the better. The
location is fantastic walking distance to
the centre and all the main bars.
We could not have picked a better place.
Joey was extremely helpful, no ask to great.

"Wonderful location in central Bath"
Joey and David are perfect hosts who have
very thoughtfully equipped the Rectory.
Our extended family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed
our stay. Very Highly recommended!!!
Old Rectory is a delight"
Beautiful rooms, wonderful decor and of
course fabulously well equipped kitchen. The
house was perfect for our party of 7
with comfortable beds and every thing
pitched at the right level of luxury. Joey
and David have created a calm and
wonderfully placed to enjoy the city of
Bath. The touches they add such as fresh
flowers in the rooms and a generous welcome
including special treats for the Birthday
girl made it all the more perfect. Car
parking needs to be paid for but that is
pretty standard in Bath,
and it is very close to the house so not
inconvenient at all. Would recommend this
property to anyone.

Completely faultless from start to finish.
If we could stay in your houses in every

We will use this house every time we stay in
Bath from now on!
Where do I
begin? We had a fabulous weekend in Bath for
my Hen Do last weekend. We arrived on Friday
afternoon to a happy and smiling Joey, who
welcomed us into the property. Joey had gone
to the effort of decorating the kitchen with
bunting and "Team Bride" balloons, as well
as leaving a beautiful card for me. So
thoughtful. The breakfast, snacks and treats
provided were delicious and lasted us (all 7
of us!) all weekend. The house is stunning,
clean, modern, bright and airy. I would not
hesitate booking here again and advise any
one looking to book a venue in bath for a
"classy" hen do, this is the perfect place.
5 minute walk to the thermae spa and town
centre, really easy to park near the house
and very easy to travel around. Only thing
to be wary of is that there's lots of stairs
in the building and the rooms are spread out
over the floors, so if you have a member of
your group that would struggle, just to bear
this in mind and ensure they get a room
closest to the living room/kitchen. Overall,
the absolutely perfect venue for my hen
weekend, a kind and welcoming host and
incredible, speedy service and communication
from booking, to travelling home. 5 stars!

Had a lovely weekend in Bath for a hen do and the house

"The Old Rectory
is a very special place"
Joey and David have combined luxury with comfort
immaculately, from a well stocked kitchen with a generous
amount of welcome goodies, to perfect bedrooms, crisp white
bed linen and soft fluffy towels. Our family enjoyed a brief
but beautiful get-together in this wonderful property and we
would all like to thank our hosts for their help and for the
thoughtful extra touches that made us feel so welcome. If we
could give The Old Rectory more than five stars, we would!
Thank you so much Joey and David.
We had a lovely weekend and staying in your lovely townhouse

"The house is beautiful and really made our weekend
We stayed at the Old Rectory for a girls weekend away for my
best friend's hen party. Joey greeted us on arrival and was
super helpful leading up to us coming to stay too. The look
and feel of the house is gorgeous and spotless and there are
lots of hotel style touches that really make it (super
fluffy towels, nice toiletries and luxury bedding). The
kitchen is fab and well equipped. We cooked for 8 people
both nights and there was plenty of utensils etc. and space
for us to sit around the table. The giant master bathroom is
AMAZING! And there were no problems with making sure
everyone had space to get ready and shower. The bedrooms are
all lovely, with plenty of mirrors and wardrobe space and
the beds are SO comfy. There really isn't a bad thing I can
say about our stay in the house!
"Gorgeous property in a prime location"
Everything was furnished up to a very high
standard - I am especially pleased with the quality of bed
linen used! Joey and David have been wonderful hosts - very
prompt and helpful with queries. Simple, thoughtful touches
such as a welcome card and Prosecco made our stay that extra
special. Everyone was very impressed and we will definitely
stay again if the opportunity arises in future! ( :
"The location was
great, a short walk to the very centre of the city"
We loved the house, it was spacious and had a really nice
feel to it and was very well equipped (amazingly soft
towels, nice toiletries, hairdryer, everything you would
need in the kitchen - especially the nice coffee machine and
the variety of teas!). Everything spotlessly clean. Very
comfy beds and nice bedding! The location was great, a short
walk to the very centre of the city. The hosts were very
welcoming, quick to respond to any queries, met us on
arrival and then quickly left us to settle in. If I have to
think of one negative it is that there is only one shower,
though this didn't end up being problem for our group and
there are 2 baths which we took advantage of (one of which
has a shower attachment you could wash your hair with whilst
sitting or leaning over). I would definitely recommend it.

It absolutely lived up to our expectations - we had a
fabulous weekend. We were made to feel very welcome and
appreciated all the lovely welcoming touches, from the
little box of chocolates to the bottle of prosecco and the

loved the house and the city. And thanks to Joey and David
for making everything so easy and smooth. We loved
everything about our stay! It was perfect. (Airbnb)
"Exceptional place to stay with family and friends"
We booked The Old Rectory Townhouse with friends and our
children (all 3 and under) for a weekend, as we were
traveling to Bath for a wedding. We were so impressed with
the house, and also the owner, who couldn't have been more
accommodating and welcoming, we had a really wonderful time,
i cannot rave about it enough. My daughter was so happy she
asked me if we could stay there forever! The welcome hamper
is a real treat, and it really adds that touch of luxury to
a self catering let, not to have to do a massive shop, to
buy larder essentials, tea and coffee, breakfast etc,
especially when only staying for the weekend. Also a really
lovely touch was to find complimentary children's bubble
bath, and craft basket, very thoughtful. Lovely comfortable
beds, with put me up beds for the children to stay in our
rooms. Spacious, and immaculate, would recommend to anyone
wanting a lovely place to stay in Bath. far and away one of
the best places i have rented. (Trip Advisor)
"It is impossible
to find fault with this lovely home!"
Everything is exactly as described, and the attention to detail
is exceptional. We would not hesitate to recommend making a
reservation at The Old Rectory which is in a perfect location
for visiting the beautiful city of Bath. This was our first
experience of Airbnb and the bar is now set extremely high!
"Very accommodating, beautiful
Six adults and three babies all fit
comfortably in this lovely spacious house! We all decided to
stay in over the weekend and not due to the terrible weather!
Joey was very accommodating to the fact we had small children on
our trip and left some brilliant essentials for children! We
really felt at home, thank you so much we all had a brilliant
weekend in your beautiful house. Hopefully we will be back next
year. (Trip Advisor)
"What an amazing house
Joey was fantastic in the run up to our visit. Really flexible
and accommodating. We had a small baby in the party and she
provided lots of equipment for her. She also left a
comprehensive welcome pack including wine, treats and
essentials. The house is just stunning. Scrupulously clean and
clutter-free but really well equipped right down to toiletries.
Location is amazing. Minutes walk from everything good in Bath,
but also close to the big park so the runners in our group had
somewhere to go. We just had a ball. (Airbnb)

"Fabulous House in the

Fabulous house, spotlessly clean
& very comfortably. We only stayed 1 night but felt very at home
- would highly recommend. (Trip Advisor)
"The house was a dream"
Joey was so helpful and informative with
the house and local area prior to our visit and responded to my
emails and texts within minutes which was great. She greeted us
upon our arrival and let us feel we could contact her at any
time during our stay should we need to. She even left us out
some welcoming treats for the start of our mini break. The house
was a dream....just like the photos suggest. I really do not
have a negative word to say and will be sure to stay here again.
Fabulous weekend. When I realised I had left some of my
belongings, Joey had it in the post for me the next day -
wonderful hosts. (Airbnb)
"Great location, five minutes from the Roman Baths & Royal
Crescent & shops"
We had a lovely stay, the house is beautifully decorated with
attention to detail, it is super tidy and very cosy with the
most comfortable beds. Joey and David are warm, welcoming and
discreet hosts. We came with our young daughters, and our hosts
had thoughtfully put out children's books and prettily arranged
craft activities. Delicious breakfast - we were not expecting
it. Everything we could wish for was there. Great location, five
minutes from the Roman Baths & Royal Crescent & shops. Thank you
Joey and David, I would certainly recommend the house to
families staying in Bath! (Airbnb)
This was the best house I've ever lived in, much better than
the four even five stars hotels. The house totally matches the
pictures online which is so clean and tidy. Four rooms are
enough for 8 people and we had a lovely night getting together.
The location is great, 10 minutes to the Roman Bath and 5
minutes to the Royal Crescent. Personally, I would really love
to pay a visit next time and I strongly recommend everyone who
is seeing this comment to contact the host with no doubt. Joey
is so kind and you will feel like home when you talk to her, so
as David. I felt really surprised when I saw the foods and
snacks they prepared for our breakfast and it was fantastic as
well. Overall, you will really be impressed when you see the
house and you will never feel uncomfortable when you talk to
such a nice host. If overall is 100 mark, I'll give 100 but it
is still not enough. Thank you Joey and David. (Airbnb)
"Beautiful house, excellent location"
A group of eight of us stayed in The Old Rectory for a hen do
for two nights in September 2015. The house is absolutely
beautiful - spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated
throughout. (One member of our group took photos of each room as
inspiration for decorating at home!). The house is also very
spacious, Each bedroom is on its own floor so there was room for
us all to spread out. We especially loved the roll top bath and
the lovely cosmetics in the bathroom. Joey the host was very
helpful in arranging when we could pick up the keys etc. She
also left us a wonderful welcome package including all the
basics - plus some luxuries like Tyrrells crisps and prosecco!
The location is fantastic - about a 5 minute walk into the
centre of Bath. I would definitely recommend for a luxurious
stay in the city! (Trip Advisor)
"Fantastic stay at the Old Rectory"
We had a fantastic time at the Old Rectory- we were travelling
as three couples. It is a lovely big house and made our weekend
perfect! The owner was very helpful before the visit and we
really enjoyed the food, toiletries etc that she provided for
us. I have to comment on the bath towels which were huge and
really, really soft! It was also so nice to be able to sit
outside in the little garden before we went out. The house is in
a brilliant location, really close to all the shops and
restaurants and the Therma Spa. We all drove here and parked in
the car park in the same street which was very handy and then
moved the cars to the street on Saturday evening for free
parking on Sunday. We would definitely consider coming by train
next time as the station is nearby. The whole house is
beautifully decorated and had all the things we needed
(hairdryers, irons etc) and the beds were very comfortable . We
are definitely coming to stay here again and are already
planning another visit. We highly, highly recommend the Old
Rectory! (Trip Advisor)
